An Evening with the Author of Better, Complications and The Checklist Manifesto

Acclaimed surgeon and MacArthur Fellow Atul Gawande – author of the bestselling books Better: A Surgeon’s Notes on Performance and Complications: A Surgeon’s Notes on an Imperfect Science – will discuss his newest work and innovative remedy based on the humblest and simplest of techniques: the checklist. A surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Gawande is also a staff writer for The New Yorker and Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Associate Professor at the Harvard School of Public Health, and Associate Director for the BWH Center for Surgery and Public Health.
