Sunday, July 28, 2013 – Recepción Del Presidente
Join El Presidente Josiah Jenkins at his reception in the DoubleTree Resort’s Plaza del Sol. Enjoy a delicious meal, meet past presidents, experience wonderful performances by the 2013 Junior Spirit and Spirit of Fiesta, and then dance away the evening across from the ocean. Held at the DoubleTree Resort (Plaza del Sol), 633 East Cabrillo Boulevard, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. Ticket are $85 in advance and $100 at the door. The toughest sport on earth returns with the nation’s top riders competing in this fast growing sport. The action is so close, you’ll feel the sweat and dirt! Ticket prices TBA. Friday, August 2, 2013 – El Desfile Histórico (Historical Parade) – 12:00 Noon
The Fiesta Historical Parade is one of the largest equestrian parades in the United States. The parade starts at the west end of Cabrillo Boulevard, proceeds east along the beach, to State Street, then up State Street to Sola Street. Viewing the Parade is free but there are shaded Reserved Seats available for purchase.
Friday, August 2, 2013 – Las Noches de Ronda (“Nights of Gaiety”) – 8:00pm
A splendid variety show of music, singing, fiery Flamenco from Spain, and vivid Folklórico dances from many regions of Mexico. Held at the Santa Barbara Courthouse Sunken Gardens, 1100 Anacapa Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. This event is free.
Friday, August 2, 2013 – Fiesta Stock Horse Show & Rodeo – 7:30pm
Riders compete in Bareback Riding, Tie-down Roping, Steer Stopping, Mutton Bustin’ and Saddle Bronco Riding, plus PRCA Team Roping, Barrel-Racing and Bull Riding. This event is held at Earl Warren Showgrounds, 3400 Calle Real, Santa Barbara, CA 93105. Saturday, August 3, 2013 – Kiwanis Fiesta Pancake Breakfast – 7am-12pm
The Kiwanis club will be hosting the 62nd Annual Fiesta Pancake Breakfast this year. Over 4,000 guests are served at this event and all proceeds go directly to support activities that benefit children in south Santa Barbara County. Saturday, August 3, 2013 – 83rd Annual El Desfile De Los Niños (Children’s Parade) – 10am
The charming Children’s Parade is organized by the City Parks and Recreation Department. Young people of Santa Barbara, their parents, and other parade participants don traditional costumes and celebrate the rich culture of the area. Parade proceeds down State Street, from Victoria Street to Ortega Street. Viewing the parade is free.
