Anacapa Island
The East, Middle and West Islands that make up Anacapa Island are five miles long but are inaccessible one from the next except by boat. Steep, towering sea cliffs, sea caves and natural bridges, like the forty-foot high Arch Rock, are well known symbols of Anacapa Island.

Santa Cruz Island
Santa Cruz Island is both the largest of California’s islands at over 96 square miles in size, as well as the highest, with peaks rising above 2,000 feet. Painted Cave, along the northwest coastline, is one of the largest and deepest sea caves in the world!

Santa Rosa Island
Santa Rosa peaks out at 1,589 feet at its highest point, though the rest of the island has an otherwise low profile. The remains of a pygmy mammoth were found on Santa Rosa in 1994 and are the most complete specimen found to date.

San Miguel Island
San Miguel Island is home to the caliche forest (ancient vegetation sand-castings) and has over 600 archeological remnants from the Chumash Indians. At certain times of the year, a ranger-guided 16-mile round-trip hike may lead you to over 30,000 pinnipeds on the beaches of Point Bennett!

Santa Barbara Island
Experience Santa Barbara Island’s six miles of trails, snorkel in the Landing Cove with bright sea stars, spiny sea urchins and girabaldi fish and kayak along the coast with sea lions, harbor seals and northern elephant seals.
