Los Angeles Electric 8, the world’s only electric guitar chamber octet, returns to Fishbon to premiere a brand new program entitled Interlocking Textures. This debut performance will take listeners on a journey from east to west, showcasing the connections between Indonesian gamelan and American minimalism. Featuring music by ethnomusicologist Mantle Hood, minimalist composer Wayne Siegel and more, the evening’s fare will run from the traditional to the inspired – all ringing from a chorus of eight electric guitars.
