The perks of being a member at Presqu'ile just grew exponentially with the opening of their new tasting room in Santa Maria. Calling it a "tasting room" seems like an understatement, as it's really more like a getaway where you can hang out all day long on their terraced lawn, play bocce ball, foosball or cool off in the wine cave.
Historical tourists will find Santa Barbara an interesting place to visit, with its many ancient cultural gems interspersed throughout the city. Most of the sites blend so nicely into the landscape that you might not even realize that they’re on the National Register of Historic Places! These are a few of our favorite…
Allan Herschell 3-Abreast Carousel – 1916
Painted Cave – 200-1000 years old
Santa Barbara Presidio – 1782
Casa de la Guerra – 1828
Santa Barbara Courthouse – 1929
Santa Barbara Mission – 1786/1927
Santa Barbara Post Office – 1937
Los Banos del Mar Pool – 1939
(Great history of the pool on Friends of Los Banos)
